Binged original Dexter and Dexter: New Blood and you can see the impact of woke culture on the latter. There is not a single evil/negative female character:

Angela: Good - hard worker, smart, good cop, works out who Dexter is
Audrey: Good - smart thoughtful student who befriends Harrison
Molly: Neutral . Smart successful podcaster who ultimately becomes a victim. (She's annoying but that's not evil.)

The male characters are either evil (Dexter, Kurt Caldwell, Matt) or neutral/evil (Harrison) or kind of bumbling neutral (gay guys who own gun store, high school jocks, incel/shooter).

Compare this to the original:

- LaGuerta: neutral overall. Bitchy, career climber, willing to use sex to get ahead. Backstabs. But also hard worker, loyal and extremely smart.
- Lila: Evil. bitchy, hot, crazy, murderer.
- Deb: Good. Smart, hard worker, loyal.
- Rita: Good. Naïve, loyal.
- Hannah: Evil/neutral: murderer but fucked up childhood

For the male characters they are a similar mix of good, evil and neutral.

This kind of mix was common in the 2000s, early 2010s but is rare now.

I'm not even sure the writers are doing it on purpose. They are probably so brainwashed the idea of writing an evil bitch character who can sometimes be good is automatically rejected by their brain.

S1-S4 - kino upon kino.
S5-S8 - worst fall from grace in tv history. diarrhea slop heap.
New Blood - kino once more.
Resurrection - different, still kino.

season 6 finale and some of the season 7 were good and somewhat okay. Season 7 finale was epic.

S5-S8 - Garbage.
New Blood - They tried to unfuck the series ending, and I guess the New Blood ending was better. So, mission accomplished. Still very forgettable.
Resurrection - A tour de force. Fun characters and good Dexter shenanigans. The only downside is Harrison's retarded subplot.

So let me get this straight, there was a dedicated true crime podcaster and a billionaire obsessed with serial killers and neither of them noticed that a man name dexter morgan was

It is insane that neither of them connected this one guy to a massive number of serial killer cases when its all public record.
Whats worse is that somehow Claudette, who is given a credible tip about the bay harbor butcher suspect coming back to life right when someone in her city gets bay harbor butchered seems to completely ignore the fact that Dexter faked his own death and seemingly appeared when the murder happened.
How in her investigation into Dexter did she not see that he twice investigated as the butcher, had connections to multiple serial killer cases that went cold, and the dubious nature of laguerta's death after she accused him of being the butcher?

Why did Quinn not take concern with the fact that Dexter Morgan just happened to appear alive again in New York when some Bay Harbor Butchering occurs?

No Doakes was under investigation, it was concluded he did it and then it ended. Dexter was no suspect.
Then LaGuerta opened another now into Dexter. The woman who was shown to be obsessed with proving the innocence of her former partner suddenly accuses the same man as the "known killer" and there is evidence of her attempting to frame Dexter.
