Gosling being completely stoic and cool then becoming a killing machine in the third act was kino.

Simping for a white girl with a Mexican boyfriend is not cool.

It's all about the aesthetic. The mood. You wouldn't understand.

Forgive me, Standard wasn’t her boyfriend. He was her husband and the father of her child.

>dude lets desaturate everything and film it in los angeles but the protagonist drives a 1980 shitbox and despite being 150lbs, is the tough guy in town for reasons unknown and beats up all the mobsters (wow mysterious) and then wrap it all up with some fruityloops synthwave
>fuck it give him a cool jacket too and make him a real human bean to some trashy single mom who lives in his shitty building that only has 1 bedroom apartments
no pretty sure i understood it

holy pleb. Drive is /tv/core and your points are wack. For instance it's totally normal for a car enthusiast to drive an old car (chebby chevelle isn't 80s though lol)

Yeah Drive is fa/tv/irgin core, but this is not the flex you think it is.
The Driver being “literally [Anon]” is funny because it is true.

Just watched this. Can we talk about it?
Lives in a low-rent, near-empty apartment and wears high-fashion henleys, boots, and satin jacket.
Drives armed robbers for a living and is supposed to be a real hero and a real human being
Never works out or touches guns but can overpower a huge thug with a shotgun, which he then fires on target despite never using one before
Leaves the money in the parking lot when he could help himself or others with it
Fucks a married mom
Beats up a connected gangster in a strip club, which always has huge bouncers, however, none appear despite several witnesses and the gangster's screams
Shall I go on?

And the seventh seal is a retarded film. Obviously death wouldn’t waste his time arguing with a knight in Swedish.
The driver is not supposed to be an absolutely realistic character, he represents an archetype of masculinity. It is more important for the film that he matches the archetype than if his boots are in his budget.

it's still good. I rewatched it some time ago after not seeing it since it came out, I don't think there's a neo noir movie better than it.
