If you specifically check the subscriptions section, yes. The shit they recommend to you is at the top of the page. Most of the time, my subscribed channels end up there as well when a new vid drops, but some vids fall through the cracks. It also goes without saying that a lot of people who watched his vids aren't subscribed so they need the algo to feed them it regardless.

As far as plagiarism goes, it wasn't even really that bad, and you can make a strong argument that it mostly comes down to a lack of professionalism rather than actual malicious intent; for example, I don't cite my sources when I make 4chan posts because why the fuck would I? What if I had a YouTube channel with 10 subscribers? 100? 1000? 10k? 100k?
