I hope they don't, but they probably will. To be honest I have no issue with this Hermione, I always thought Watson was miscast. The point would've been to create a long lasting show of high quality so we can once again immerse ourselves in Hogwarts. Due to it being in show format, we'd also get more indepth storylines and character development since a show wouldn't be constrained by a movie's runtime.

An 8-10 hour TV show could explore plotlines and aspects of characterisation that were neglected or left out of the 2 hour movies. It's a much slower, more character-driven experience compared to a movie.
