Superman IS boring. He solves all his problems by flying into stars. I've still never seen Man of Steel, but Gunn's style made me curious enough to check in. Turns out you can throw in all the quips, colors and lights; you can be clever as all hell with the camera, but you cannot make superman fun.

Both of these movies sucked.
>last few Reeve movies were garbage
>Returns was garbage
>Steel was garbage
>Supergun was garbage
I'm capeslop loving tard but I can't of a character that has been more run down in the cinema over the ages than Superman.
>superman is boring
no he isn't. if he really was as boring as people in this thread claim they would ignore threads about him. He just keeps getting shitty films.

At a certain point maybe you gunnjeets need to realize you are wrong. You can bitch about murderman and stop my invincible son as much as you want but that shit was still way cooler than anything put out since. ZSJL being worlds better than JWJL should have shut you up, but still you persist

Yawn. Both movies did about the same amount, success-wise, and honestly, both are about the same quality-wise. It all boils down to whether or not you want a darker Superman or a lighter Superman.

You are a jeet. CW is the most garbage network with worst ratings. Supergirl was on CBS and bombed so bad they just face it to the CW where a million viewers is a win. And even then Supergirl and Superman and Lois got cancelled because of garbage ratings

Henry Cavill has more aura in a single one of his chest hairs than Corensfag will ever exude. The fact that Gunn decided to put him in the worst Superman suit ever put on film is just icing on the shit cake.

Feels good to be able to enjoy each and every single Superman movie there is. Except for Superman 3, what a boring film. It has a few good scenes, though.

When your 200 million dollar blockbuster gets absolutely BTFO'd by a CW show, that is fucking embarrassing. Gunn should be ashamed.

I mean, Superman '25 was fine. I liked it. It had a lot of the same themes as Batman v Superman, just inside of a more comedic framework.

That said, it is funny that Warner Bros. Was pissy about Snyder appealing too much to a specific niche instead of making them Marvel money, but now making even less money that they're trying to be like Marvel.

I bet if Krypto the Dog drove an F1 car for a large portion of the movie, Superman would have done better internationally.

Bad thing happens -> fault of my predecessor
But good thing happens -> I did that
Future guy comes in? Anything good during that time was all me of course. Anything bad? His fault.

Man of steel was far more successful. It made more money and sold over twice as many tickets lol. If not for massive amounts of inflation Superman would look even less successful in comparison. Idk how you can take a movie that made less money and sold less than half the amount of tickets and say it was similar success wise, you’re delusional.

Despite his cinematic vision giving rise to polarized opinions, Zack Snyder is strongly recognized for bringing a very influential cinematic language to mainstream Hollywood from the 2000s onwards,[73] notable for adopting a high level of visual refinement, epic stories and films with deconstructivist and political narratives,[74][75] which is reflected in the existence of several films with a large scale of production and long duration, such as Zack Snyder's Justice League.

Oscar-winner director James Cameron, in an interview given to Comic Book Debate about the filmmakers that have at times influenced him, mentioned that the work Snyder did on 300 was pretty revolutionary at the time and introduced a new "cinematic language", along with the names of Robert Rodriguez and Ridley Scott.[76] Christopher Nolan, one of the most awarded directors of the 21st century, pointed Snyder's work as a contemporary influency on science fiction and superhero movies, stating that "There's no superhero science-fiction film coming out these days where (he) don't see some influence of Zack".[77] He also emphasized the emotional power that is very characteristic of Snyder's filmography: "When you watch a Zack Snyder film, you see and feel his love for the potential of cinema. The potential of it to be fantastical, to be heightened in its reality, but to move you and to excite you."[77]
Nolan is particularly fond of two of Snyder's films: Man of Steel and Watchmen. With regard to the former, he singled it out for its dramatic impact, highlighted by a scene about fatherhood between Clark and Jonathan Kent: "The moment in Man of Steel where Kevin Costner tells young Clark that whatever his origin, he's still his son puts a lump in my throat every time."[78]

However, his best-known work came to be Zack Snyder's Justice League, the result of a huge grassroots campaign for the release of the director's version of Justice League, which fell victim to a series of alterations after the director stepped down following the death of his daughter. Renowned directors and filmmakers such as Hideo Kojima,[80] the Russo Brothers,[81] David Lowery,[82] Kevin Smith[83] and Ben Affleck[84] expressed their support for the director's cut. It was responsible for turning Snyder into a pop culture phenomenon, generating several references in the industry for its enormous adherence to the director's cuts.[85]

In addition to his work as a director, Snyder also stands out for writing scripts and stories for many films he directs or only produces, with a special mention for Wonder Woman, named one of the 10 best films of 2017 by the American Film Institute.[86]

He is also one of the highest-grossing film directors of all time, being in the top 40 of the worldwide ranking.[87]

In 2021, Snyder partnered with Save the Children, a global child rights organization, to build a 100-bed temporary hospital facility in New Delhi to help fight the COVID-19 pandemic in India.[56]

Political views
Although his films have been critiqued as having "right-wing" messages,[57] politically, Snyder is a Democrat. He endorsed Joe Biden in the 2020 presidential election.[58] In a 2021 interview with The Guardian, he stated:

I vote Democrat! I'm a true lover of individual rights. I've always been a super-strong advocate of women's rights and a woman's right to choose, and I've always been surrounded by powerful women. And, of course, I'm a huge advocate for the rights of all ethnicities and every walk of life. I would say I'm a pretty liberal guy. I want to make sure everyone's heard and everyone feels included. I don't have a rightwing political agenda. People see what they want to see. For me, that was not certainly the point.[59]

They're both left wing, but the difference is that Snyder understands the positive use of Christ imagery, while Gunn is just a pedophile.
Snyder will use Superman as a metaphor for a Jesus-like symbol for hope, while Gunn will use Superman for modern sociopolitical commentary and will just straight up say Superman is an "undocumented immigrant," and we need to accept him in interviews.
