Western TV shows: endless seasons, that get fewer and fewer episodes each time, with no real resolution until the show gets inevitably cancelled. hamfisted political messaging, characters that you can't relate to in situations you don't care about. no real romance, just forced sex scenes 2 minutes after characters meet.
Kdramas: long episode counts, more time for sincere characterization, majority of the shows are wrapped up in 1 season. wide variety of stories ranging from the lives of everyday people to the crazy fantastical. wholesome romance based on longing instead of degeneracy.
same thing for movies too. the mid budget movie about real people isn't dead, it's just moved to Korea. meanwhile america just continues to pump out multi hundred million dollar movies that are a disgrace to the medium of storytelling.
