Boy, Friendship One was certainly a bizarre way to wind down the series. What a downer episode. At least so far anyway. I've seen these episodes before but never really remember how they end.

Had to look it up. Agree that they're somewhat similar. This is what I mean about Voyager just doing a solid job with science fiction in general. It might not be the best Trek but it's very good sci fi.

Spock is my favorite Star Trek character. I find it fascinating that they've restained themselves from making a slew of overt "Spock clone" characters in all of the future series, since he's such a popular character. He's one of the reasons why TOS is so special

You people have weird reactions to things. I remember being underwhelmed by the "aliens trapped in a quantum immortality prison" episode while everyone said it was the best one of the season. I enjoyed this silly Vulcan episode and now people are calling it one of the worst of all time. I guess....I'll just never have popular opinions. Which I like because it means at least I have my own mind and I'm not an NPC.
Anyway, what happened to Legos? Remember when they used to be simple?

Poor Carey. Fuckin 7 years of bullshit. AND Voyager had just established communications with the Alpha Quadrant so he probably got to speak to his wife and kids and raise their hopes just before he died. Fuckin asshole radiation aliens. They fuck up their own planet and blame Earth.

>The episode title emphasizes he's only half human. I don't know, it was funny when Patton Oswalt was a Vulcan nerd for human culture. Out of an entire planet of Vulcans, there had to be one right? It was also true that he had good chemistry with Una. Basically, fuck you all, I thought it was the best episode this season.

That was earlier when they were able to send letters. Carey mentions having a wife and kids in Friendship One in season 7, and in like the previous episode, Doctor, Doctor, (which should have been titled Photons Be Free), they're able to have live conversations with people for 3 minutes each. Poor, poor Carey. Lmao. Janeway getting dumped kinda tracks for her though. She's way too big a nerd.

A question which, if followed to its logical end, should make you completely stop watching all TV and movies and stop reading books written in the last 300 years. Since I'm weak and am hopelessly addicted to these forms of entertainment that I was raised on since I was a small child, I pretend that he's not a murderer and acknowledge that he was fascinatingly good at playing "emotionless."

>SEVEN: Two hours, thirty seven minutes, thirteen seconds. That's how long we've gone without verbal communication.
>TUVOK: Why is that remarkable?
>SEVEN: The Doctor encourages me to engage in conversation during awkward silences.
>TUVOK: Did you find the silence awkward?
>SEVEN: No.
>TUVOK: Nor did I.
Just wanted to pop in and say that 7/Tuvok is an extremely underrated pairing and it's a delight in the handful of times it happens
