Let me quote you some scripture.
Matthew 6:1-4
"Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven. So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you."
In other words, celebrities do what they do because they want to be loved and respected by men, and they want to receive rewards in worldly honors and money. They've turned their own kindness into just another resource to be exploited for selfish gain, and thus, they've had their reward and they won't get it again from God. That's what it means to not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing: Don't let your selfish desires harness your good qualities for a temporal reward, or else you've completely cheapened your actions.
This quote spoken directly by Jesus himself, and it's pretty clear.
It's genuinely completely appropriate to call celebrities hypocrites and whores. That's why they brag on twitter constantly about how great they are. Let them have their reward from men, but I'm not going to sit here and pretend they're good people.
