The modern internet user is stupid and doesn't know how to write html/css/javascript, even when there's an infinite number of tools that do it for them. So instead they congregate on discords and twitter and google docs. Part of the aspect of creating a website is having something unique and interesting to say and being willing to say it in your own space without needing the support and consensus of a third party platform to maintain it beyond the bare necessity utility costs. The concept of "the home page" is disappearing the same way "driving a car" and "drinking a beer and chasing girls" are. Zoomers are too weak, ignorant, fragile, resentful, frightened, and brainwashed to want to adventure into any of those spaces.
That is really it: the base fundamental concepts of "exploration" and "adventure", absolutely crucial to adolescent growth, are anathema to gen Z. Raised on a smartphone screen, they don't even explore the maximal potential of that technological space. They don't jailbreak, they don't pirate, they don't seek out novel and interesting things they can do with their phone beyond maybe play Pokemon Go. The only *do what the screen tells them they are permitted to do*, and that part of their brain that imagines anything else, that thinks outside that box, has atrophied to near nothing.
