Is it safe to treat Prometheus and Covenant as non-canon at this point? This show doesn't acknowledge that Weyland-Yutani was ever just the Weyland Corporation and the Yutani Corporation. There's Weyland-Yutani logos all over water bottles and the specimen containment pods on the Maginot that left Earth 40 years before Prometheus. The original Yutani knew Morrow at least 40 years before Prometheus.
I don't know if these are continuity errors or if the show is really intending to imply that Weyland-Yutani has either always existed as Weyland-Yutani or just that the merger way earlier then 2093 when the Weyland Corporation launched Prometheus. The timeline seems way too important for that to just be a writing mistake.

They do shifts in cryo, so a bunch of these characters weren't awake for stuff Morrow saw. And they "lost a lot of good men" capturing them, just not the entire crew of the ship.

I've been critical of this show and of this episode, but for me it is easily the best in the show so far. Probably because it actually felt like Alien and we didn't see any of the stupid bullshit going on on Earth. It's going to be so depressing next week going back to Boy being a faggot, Wendy and the dancing xenomorph and 30 year old actors pretending to be 12. I just hope that my buddy the eye octopus wins, kills all of these annoying characters and takes over Prodigy. Does he have merch? Probably not because Disney is stupid, but I would buy a plushie of him to keep on my bed. There's something endearing about him. Maybe it's just that he's the only intelligent lifeform in the show.
