If you watched Monk past season 3, you have only yourself to blame.
And you know why.
I quit mid-4th season and never returned nor felt the need to see where this is heading or what they will do with it. It just stopped working.

I think the later ones feel much more coherent. But i agree that in the later seasons they get more sidetracked by Monks past and Trudis case.

I tried watching this years ago, didn't like it because they kept inserting modern values into the historical setting.
Anonymous No.214236839
columbo just show up at their door or some event and they just keep talking and talking to him instead of simply telling the bum looking detective to fuck off

No father brown was bad because he’s so unmoved he’s borderline sociopathic and every line of dialogue feels disconnected from the previous, as well as many scenes where characters just randomly appear where they’re needed with no logical explanations

Modern values? A little bit, especially with later series when they add Bunty. But they are mostly christian values, only when you go hardcore catholic they are too liberal.

>columbo
dial m for murder (movie) otherwise idk

>Monk, and Psych?
the mentalist is a standard whodunit like psych with an overarching story about a murdered wife like monk all the way to the shitty ending

otherwise hercule poirot and sherlock holmes (1984)
