I don’t even know why this film was made. In the UK he’s basically a has been who had a brief period of popularity in the 90’s and 2000’s and then faded from public view. I would like to see more biopics portrayed by CGI animals though.

I'm American, had no idea who Robbie Williams was and I watched the flick (well - 75% of it, it was so predictable and boring I didn't finish it). All I learned was that a zesty cgi monke started his career being sus at gay bars, I watched a cgi monke be zesty and gay and it was something else honestly.

It took an anti-campaign to make the movie fail this badly. They used social media to convince people that they aren't allowed to know a singer who was popular 25 years ago.

Social media has completely fried their brains. It's not that they don't know who these people are. It's that they need permission to know who they are. They are terrified that their peers will make fun of them if they know things that their peers don't know.
