I like to watch it when itβs real cold outside. I have a personal history with this movie, so I like it.
Tarantino is an absolute freak, but Iβm glad at least one or two old-guard Hollywood goblins like him still exist to pump out lurid ultra-violence; real Videodrome stuff that Hateful 8.
Despite any criticism, rightful or otherwise, there are some real high-points to the movie. The acting, cinematography, score from the man himself Ennio Morricone, and that itβs loosely based on The Thing are really great. Say what you will about Tarantino, the man knows film and knows how to make a good film. I love the pacing of the movie, and find of those scenes and the dialog within are phenomenal.

This guy was complaining about sexual violence towards βthe woman?β Like who, because that is not there. A frequent complaint levied against QT is his violence against women. Sounds like Redditoid, white-knighting conveniently overlooking the copious violence done against the men in his films as well.
All in all, I find the movie comfy. A disturbing lack of woman toes in this, but everything else hits exactly what I want in a Tarantino film and more.
