Jackson trolling the grandpa with that stupid dick sucking monologue and the disturbingly sexual violence towards the woman ruined the movie for me

Yeah, my Dad is a Tarantino mark, but that was a bridge too far.

Also, J-Law was supposed to play the female lead. Would have been a better film seeing her get smacked around.

I like to watch it when it’s real cold outside. I have a personal history with this movie, so I like it.
Tarantino is an absolute freak, but I’m glad at least one or two old-guard Hollywood goblins like him still exist to pump out lurid ultra-violence; real Videodrome stuff that Hateful 8.

Despite any criticism, rightful or otherwise, there are some real high-points to the movie. The acting, cinematography, score from the man himself Ennio Morricone, and that it’s loosely based on The Thing are really great. Say what you will about Tarantino, the man knows film and knows how to make a good film. I love the pacing of the movie, and find of those scenes and the dialog within are phenomenal.

This guy was complaining about sexual violence towards β€œthe woman?” Like who, because that is not there. A frequent complaint levied against QT is his violence against women. Sounds like Redditoid, white-knighting conveniently overlooking the copious violence done against the men in his films as well.

All in all, I find the movie comfy. A disturbing lack of woman toes in this, but everything else hits exactly what I want in a Tarantino film and more.

Strange choices you offer, OP.

It's a Tarantino movie. It's great. It's perfect. WTF?

Cool, drags a little too much in some scenes even by Tarantula style of narrative but maybe it's just my perception

That nigger getting shot by the mexichad in the nuggets redeemed that movie. i still prefer half of his other movies

Really boring film. Considering Tarantula is supposed to be a great writer, there's really not many twists in this story. It's not a bunch of different motivations at play it's just the ambushers vs the coach people... 2 groups. It's all very straightforward, and they over explain everything. Like we understand that the bad guys arrived and killed the owners, do we really need to see it in a 20 minute flashback? We know someone poisoned the coffee, do we really need a voice over explaining it?
Utter slog, not even that comfy, the setting is hampered by the repetitive dialogue.

It's not my favorite Tarantula, but it's the one I can rewatch the most. It's carried by its cast and dialogue, making it a great treat to see again even after you already know whodunnit. Such a fantastic film.

agreed. tarantula can't help but squirt his nigger worship into even the most unrelated scenario
