>The gayest gay show since gay came to gay town.

Wake me up when they find the retard who wrote "Rayne Whispers" and a bunch of other ridiculous melodrama into a children's tv show while making all the men dumb cardboard cutouts with no strengths or development. So much potential totally sapped by a room full of women writers. Of course disney shit canned it. Who wouldn't?

I don't like this genre of cartoons. They look and behave like cartoons for very young audience and the few first episodes it might even be so, and then suddenly it changes the narrative to include millennial whining where everyone is depressed or raped or both. Because the main audience is actually not children, but reddit menchildren. It all reeks of cringe subversion "I bet you didn't expect this children's cartoon to do THIS!". It feels creepy and predatory. When I was a kid cartoons that aimed at more mature themes and more realistic violence didn't try to sneak it.

I doubt Dana was trying to sneak in anything, more like her vision was gimped by Disney censorship because western execs don't really like the 15-25 year old audience and ask for a more preteen demo instead.

It's really not that edgy though. Kids are watching my hero academia and shit. This is more far more tame than the Simpsons

I could barely make it through the first episode, the jokes didn't land and the moral relativism angle it was going for didn't sit well with me, still would fuck King.
