How would you have written a Joker origin movie? Anything is better than this garbage.

The Joker's origins are best kept ambiguous, which is why a better origin story would involve the Joker telling psychiatrist Harley in Arkham multiple different versions of his "backstory" which are all ultimately implied to be made up as he gradually seduces her. Would probably work better as a short film or TV episode though.

The first movie did it alright. They give you a potential origin story and the final scene and a short scene in the start gives clues to the entire Arthur Fleck story being a made-up story by the Joker in Arkham. Then the sequel pretended this fake story was real just so they can have the character be raped and killed as an affront and spiteful rebuke to fringe internet users who co-opted the film as a far-right manifesto.

Could have just ended it at the first one honestly. The sequel and the ultimate rape just put the knife in it and killed the joker as a character for years to come. The first one wasn't so bad on its own, but that sequel was such utter garbage.

It doesn't matter as long as you view the Joaquin Joker by its original intention: a fake origin story invented by the Joker in Arkham to justify himself in some sick perverse WOE IS ME tale. The sequel doesn't and shouldn't exist in your mind when thinking about the first and the only Joker movie.

The actual backstory in the first Joker ruined the character before the sequel ever had a chance to. There's a lot of directions you can take the Joker but making him a weepy pussy and his laugh a nervous tic isn't a good one.

I stopped caring for the character when it was announced back in 2019 that this negress would be his love interest. I could not relate to that whatsoever. Plus he was too much of an effeminate fag with no actual knowledge of politics. For talk of it being a right wing movie he never talks about politics or says society sucks because of niggers and Jews
