It's just easier for 'fast' food. It's nice driving up, just ordering off the menu in front of you, and driving away with a meal.
It doesn't matter how convenient the app is when you know what you're doing and have the UI down. When you just want to get a impulse cheeseburger, it's a pain to fiddle with the app in the parking lot when for the last 70+ years you could just walk up, order and be out in the same time it takes for the damn app to update, and your password isn't working for some reason, and pop ups for shit you don't want and pop ups for turning notifications on, and you STILL have to sit through the drive through line anyway. It's just frustrating, and anyone that doesn't understand that is too young to be on this site.
