A second attempt at rewriting history would be to canonically enforce homosexuality onto Bashir, we all know he wanted snack cock and he was played accordingly, but they tried to retcon seasons of homolust by giving him and Garak girlfriends. I didn't like their endings partly because of this, but largely because they were given less focus as the show was closing, and I think that was partially to avoid having another Garak\Bashir implied romance episode. For some reason O'brian got that, the straightest man alive. If we just nix that girlfriend shit right in the bud, kill a couple of terrible Bashir episodes in the process, and get some implied raw-dogging by the end of the show: all the better.

Honourable mention to Quark and Odo, but since it's only one character it'd be a violation of the premise, and besides Odo and Kira's romance is the source of good episodes so taking them away would be a shame. I think I'm sticking to Bashir, Garak's with Ziyal gone Garak doesn't need a retcon, he will find his way to medbay on his own.

I'm zooming through this viewing of LD I'm on the season 4 episode episode about the planetary ring and the computer that runs the weather. I remember this is the Nick Locarno season.
I'm a really big TOS fan, I prefer it over Berman Trek, and when you binge watch this it has a little more in common in its sci-fi storylines than it does with Berman Trek. I won't anger the soulless minions of orthodoxy by discussing LD beyond this comment. Basically cartoons allow for more crazy things to happen and more crazy things happened in general in the TOS era. Live Long and Prosper, Lower Decks fans.

To direct an episode, you had to basically enroll in Paramount's "directorial school." It was notoriously a lot of work and most of it had to be done after you were done shooting your scenes, or coming in on days off, etc.

A lot of them only did one because they realized that directing is a pretty hefty workload. Picardo only did one and never did it again for that reason.
