Chinese (+HK+TW) make the best movies. Then JP and then KR. This is my opinion after watching around 100 movies from each people

All KR movies are formulaic and they have a bad sense of humor. At first I thought they were the best, but they are all follow the same structure more or less. A common trick in KR movies is revealing a plot twist in a flashback which was just omitted to trick the spectator
