the show built up suspense by playing with the idea of whether or not innies are 'real people' from different perspectives in each character. helly finally broke that tension by saying 'i'm not me, i'm her' accepting that the innie and outie are not two separate entities which should have concluded her arc. cobel even told both marks that once cold harbor was finished he would be done at lumon. so innie mark, knowing he would likely be 'killed' at the end of the day, decided to fuck the plan and stay in the severed floor with helly anyway. fucking retarded and bizarre character choice. i feel like stiller just wanted to ragebait his audience

If the show had managed to tie up loose ends (who was Irv talking to on the phone, who are Reghabi's group, what is the "revolving", etc) and made it the series finale, it would have been good. essentially two teenagers running off into nothingness, nonexistence. But the fact that it is just a seasons finale cheapens is somewhat. Obviously they are not going to die between seasons, so it's gonna be awkward when they are not dead and have to explain it. my prediction is that the innies take over the severed floor with the help of the marching band and the goat people, but eventually Mark is forced to leave because he still has reintegration sickness and he can't go that long without Reghabi's nutrient goo and the rest of the treatment.

Mark S. naturally feels sympathy for another prisoner of Lumon, so he helps Gemma get out. He feels no allegiance to Mark Scout, though, so he isn't in a hurry to abandon the woman he loves so that Mark Scout can be happy. He sees the opportunity to spend more time with Helly, and he takes it.

Season 2 should have been ONLY the perspective of the Innie at the start, and streamlined the Outie stuff. The fun of Episode 1 was not knowing all the shit going on right away.

Season 2 needs a remix that separates the two stories until we get to the camcorder deals.
