I liked the last two episodes, i even like the new alien types.. but one issue i have is that they made the alien way to humanoid it just doesnt work for me the alien was always more animal like and scary in the og trilogy.

Alien: Earth on the otherhand...started off poorly, but was getting better with Ep 3 and 4, but this latest episode was just straight-to-video trash

The writing was inappropriate
The characters behavior was just bizarre and unprofessional
The plot was a poor parody of the original film
But the suspension of disbelief required for this episode was so astronomically high that no other piece of media in the history of time has reached it. There were so many moments that made absolutely no sense, and could never be explained

I've seen sois make excuses for the characters being dumb and that's one thing and sort of based the female character and black science lady were fuck ups (the apprentice that didn't know what an apprentice was so dumb it stained credulity) but the containment glass shattering like a wine bottle when it hit the floor was laughably bad

everyone on this show is either a robot, a child, or a complete retard but i like the last 3 episodes

why did they send ~12 civilians and less than a handful of security officers to collect at least 5 different aggressive, parasitic alien lifeforms that are all extremely dangerous to humans? half the ship's crew should have been private military personnel armed to the teeth both to deal with corporate espionage, keep the civvies in check and protect/contain/kill the aliens if necessary

because it's the post-postmodernism and it's stuck recycling the same motifs in exactly the same ways with minor variations (but in increasingly ironic ways) so the audience can feel like they're in the know and participating in the experience.
They also peppered it with z-grade alien designs such as "eyeball with tentacles, "large tick" and "large spooky plant" that are blow what even an AI would shit out.

That Yutani scene also looked almost like a parody. Like an SNL skit of what a Yutani HQ scene would look like. It's just empty calories to tide people over until the next episode, the next show, the next slop.

this has struck me every ep as a sloppy way to try to bring in zoomers. lot of manufactured hype that they somehow have an obsession with 90s sensibility/culture. It's a Hawley thing. His choices for the Legion soundtrack were excellent but in that show it was mostly covers of well known songs.

the beginning scene with the black guy essentially answered it, there was no more mystery.
it’s not like there was built up mystery, you didn’t know or care about any of the characters, and the reveal about the ceo twink planning the crash could have been done in a throwaway line.
would have been way more interesting to see how the life forms were procured.
