I just realized one of the reasons people cut this show a lot of slack is the high budget. It looks so visually immaculate. Some elements of certain designs like the xenomorph have problems, but everything still looks extremely polished. There are so few parts where effects look fake. It's basically film quality, which is rare for scifi shows that require lots of non-real things that need to be executed via 3D effects and practical effects.
