So the story of Buddha is that is you're already rich enough, it's OK to just sit there and relax and not stress about anything, and it's even fun to live kind of like a homeless or poor person in your cabin in the woods.

The Secret Life of Walter Mitty (2013) is my go-to "feel-good movie for depressed losers" kino.

Lunana: A Yak in the Classroom (2019) is good for this too if you are up for a foreign movie.

The Way Way Back (2013) is not as upbeat as the above two but has comfy beach vibes throughout

I always wondered what that dude is. Where is it? South America or Asia? I'm going to smuggle weed there and be blazed off my ass climbing to the top to look the dude in his lidded baked eyes.

Not a fan of "life affirming" cinema, I'd watch something smooth or something weird if I were in your place. Check out Soderbergh's "Out of Sight" or "The Informant!", respectively. Don't read anything about either, just watch.

'Positive vibes' isn't what cures depression, the tragic purging the emotions is what cures depression. Watch a serious movie like Seven Samurai.

Irreversible
i'm being sincere, it may look fucked up on the outside but I came away from it feeling refreshed. I cannot reveal more.
if you don't want to risk it, try Synecdoche New York.
