Gladiator was great and came way after Alien and Blade Runner. Some of his more recent films look great and have great direction, The Last Duel, The Counselor, etc. Not Napoleon though. When his films are bad, it's largely because of the writers. But he still does his job well for the most part.

Tony Scott was not that good, and the Scott brothers didn't really make movies together. The Wachowskis started well but fell off a creative cliff after Sense8.

For this specific question, Ridley's work alone puts the Scotts ahead. If you're looking for the best "brother-director team," it would be the Coens. But Ethan has proven to be a hack recently too.

Scott's always had his own production company he started with Tony, probably this late into his career Scott is splitting his work more between directing and producing, delegating more of the directorial work to assistants and second unit and so on. That's why his recent movies feel more phoned in and indistinct. It might even be because of shit like Fox demanding changes to Covenant and cockblocking the third prequel film when Ridley was clearly invested in those movies and enjoyed working with Fassbender, maybe he just gave up because he couldn't make the films that he really wanted to make.

Covenant should've been David and Shaw exploring another Engineer world, not another space crew gets infected by goo/spores and has to fight le xenos story.
Studio meddling and shitty scripwriters fucked it up.
Ridley and some better writers should've planned 2-3 movies out before making Prometheus, so we'd get a new saga in the Alien universe about seriously interesting topics with good characters. Instead we got imo a very good start in Prometheus, with some writing problems, and then just another lol xenos trying to kill us space horror in Covenant.
