Like it was yesterday. What opened my mind was during a small presentation at school about bullying, the principal stated that they have a zero tolerance policy on violence, and anyone involved in a fight would be suspended. That triggered something in my mind, so I raised my hand and asked the question "You'll be suspended even if you defend yourself?" She reiterated that they had a zero tolerance policy on violence. I legitimately couldn't comprehend how stupid this was, so later in the presentation I rephrase the question and again was met with the answer of "we have a zero tolerance policy on violence".
This was so in insane and stupid to me, that it woke something in my mind that made me realize that people in authority can be absolutely wrong. 3 years later in 2008, Ron Paul is what really red pilled me on the entire government. After that I instinctively stopped trusting authorities and sought information out for myself.
