Hyper competency has barely anything to do with being a Mary Sue, and in Rey’s case it’s the least of her problems.
Rey is a Mary Sue because she has no meaningful character flaws that are written intentionally, is always portrayed as righteous regardless of her actions, is the centre of attention no matter how far the plot has to stretch for it, never has a setback that doesn’t get conveniently reversed to make her look good, is beloved or obsessed over by most characters with outliers being shown the error of their ways and always has a skill to ensure she’s never at an impasse she can’t personally solve.
Starkiller, to contrast, only has his personal power going for him. Outside of that, he’s a gullible and hopelessly naive kid that spends his games either being lead by those nose or unfucking the consequences of his actions.
Also I find it hilarious that the disneyfag in the wild can NEVER defend Rey on her own merits. They always have to rely on deflection in an attempt to collectively lower the bar
