I cant even do 1 pull up or even 1 push up. I'm 5'10 and 160 pounds. Are the writers like me?

That's a fairly small amount of weight for the average person

At my peak I was able to do like 10 chin-ups. Even then, one day I got overconfident and tried to do it one handed, and I instantly fucked my shit up and pulled a muscle.
Even saving myself with one hand is fucking impossible, let alone carrying someone else. I'm not even going to TRY holding on to someone else's fucking weight.

doing over 10-15 pull-ups needs stupidly focused training or you need to have a body tailored for calisthenics

It's not that hard if you just make it a part of your morning routine.
>Wake up
>Have a bar wedged in the doorframe to my bedroom
>Do as many as I can real fast without straining myself
>Stop and go brush my teeth and eat breakfast
>Sometimes when I walk by my pull-up bar I try and do a couple real fast just because I think it's mildly fun
You would be surprised as hell with how fast you get better. In a month you'll go from 0 to 1 or 2, and within 6 months to a year you'll be doing about 10, depending on your diet and how much other exercise you do. It takes less than 30 seconds a day if you're just going to do that.
"Stupidly focused training" is a pretty massive overstatement. Fat people are always looking for reasons that shit is impossible, have soem self-respect. You can buy a bar on Amazon for like 30 dollars, they're not exactly that impressive. You can use them to elevate your pushups slightly too, which makes it easier if you're kind of fat and weak.

OVER 10-15. 10-15 is easy. above that you need lean body with strong muscles. Hence "body tailored for calisthenics". No bodyboulder, strongmen, or gymbro will do 30 pull-ups.

Yeah, normal people aren't bodybuilders, strongmen, or gymbros.
Assuming you're not fat and you do some bare minimum exercise, you're just a relatively healthy, medium-sized dude. Pretty much the ideal body for cranking out lots of pull-ups. Even when I was maxing out doing 10, it's only because I'm lazy and 160 pounds skinnyfat and never tried that hard. You're talking about a really, really low difficulty thing to achieve, dude.
I can only imagine it's because you're just really fucking weak.

normal people can't even bench 280 and you think they can do more then 2 pull-ups? did you come here from fit? you one of those retards who never touched a weight in their lives but read about keto and now they are experts? do 20 pull-ups now and if you didn't have a heart attack you can apologize to me.

If you go up too fast, your momentum can cause it to pop off. Also, the crescent handholds are for pushups, the angular weight can cause it to pop off too.
They're pretty safe so long as you understand that you have to be mildly careful.

You cant do 10 pull-ups with legitimate form easily if you dont specifically train for it.

>160 lbs male

No, you are weak. You cannot do 10 pull ups btw. I barely do them after years of training in all forms of weight lifting and calisthenics. I am talking legitimate pull ups btw; palms front, go all the way down to straight arms.

The fact of the matter is, it's a workout that's extremely sensitive to your body type, height, and weight. Like with any bodyweight exercise. A 5'7" dude who weighs 125 pounds is going to find it fucking easy, a 6'1" dude who weighs 185 is going to think it;s hard as fuck.
Even basic shit like if you have an endomorphic, mesomorphic, or ectomorphic build is going to massively decide shit.
I don't really see any reason to disbelieve people so much.

Retard here doesn't understand proportions. Taller people can lift heavier. 5'7 manlet at 200lb will struggle while a 6'1 dude at 160'b will find it easy as fuck
Even then it isn't about weight, it's about your muscle fibres adapting to that specific form of exercise. Doesn't matter if you're 5'3 and 100lb, you're not pushing out 10 pull ups without consistent training

>Taller people can lift heavier.
In real term, yes, usually, but not as a proportion to size, retard.
You're confusing retarded bro science with math.
It's basic leverage 101. You're a dipshit.

Yes they can :')
Larger frames have greater volume of muscle mass. A 6'1 nigga who is proportional to a 5'7 nigga will always be stronger,
Just admit you're small boned fella.. It's okay, it's just genetic luck

The longer your arms are, the less leverage you have. This is so basic that it's genuinely in the zone of you just being stupid. You can test it right now, if you want.
Go grab a bar or something heavy, hold it horizontal, normal. Then, try and hold it while sticking it straight out. You'll fail instantly.
Dilweed.
It's the same premise for when you're doing a chin-up.
Anonymous No.214275960

So what you're telling me is you're coping because your tiny arms are closer to the pull up bar, requiring a smaller distance to pull up too..
