Nope. Kripke is a porn addicted hack who is unable to write subtlety.
The show was bad from the start. It was just novel because it was cool, edgy and violent so no one noticed how bad the characters and the satire were. Now that the novelty died, it's been exposed for what it really is. Dude really got lucky with the first few seasons of Supernatural although even they had a lot of bad episodes.
