I had a dream like that some ten years or so ago.

It's this pristine sunny afternoon and there's this lush green hill. On top of the hill are a bunch of medical tents and a sort of triage for these wounded soldiers who are lying on some medical cots in the tents and sometimes outside. A few of the soldiers are up and about, but they're covered in heavy bandages and limping and look terrible. But it's a beautiful day.

Then this sea of children come running up. Like four-five year olds from a Kindergarten class. These kids are laughing and running and swam around the soldiers. And they start to pull at the wounded soldiers. The soldiers are weak, injured, and don't have the strength to fend them off. One soldier who has his leg in a cast is held down and several kids pull strongly on his leg, and you can see it start to detach and the muscles and sinew snapping while he screams and struggles.

An older soldier with a long white beard is standing there struggling with several kids holding his arms splayed wide on either side. Between his legs another kid, laughing merrily is kneeling down with a pair of safety scissors and slowly snipping and sawing through his penis, chopping it off.

None of the kids are looking violent or crazed, just laughing and looking like normal children despite the horrific acts they're committing.

I wake up haunted by the dream and haven't been able to forget it for years and years.
