Stopped at Episode 1 because it was just so contrived.

Like right away they lock General Hux in an office because they think he is an intruder. But he is there to see Esmerelda...and its an open office...so she can see what is going on in the office and at any point someone could just wave her over. He also says things like "I am starting here today", but doesn't mention he is the new Editor-In-Chief. And how does no one in the office know a new editor-in-chief was starting that day?

And then they carry this on all the way through him having lunch with Not-Pam. Finally he mentions his job title. Isn't the job title the first thing you usually discuss with a new co-worker? And why would he not mention his role? Especially since the first thing not-Pam asks him is if he is a replacement for her.

I fucking hate these shows where the setup for the drama relies on everyone being autistic retards who can't speak to each other.

The Office severely underestimates how much the subtle sex appeal of Pam and later Erin was essential to male viewership.

I am shocked they didn't do any cameos other than Oscar. This show isn't getting any marketing traction. Michael simply walking by in the background of a shot would been mentioned on every media site's front page and drove a ton of viewership.

same, I pirated all of Season 1 for Tim Key thinking he would be the main manager and on screen a lot, but he is not. I'm 34, I did grow up and enjoy the Office, but I'm not finishing this show after two episodes. I don't know if it's because I don't find these sitcoms interesting anymore, if the show is objectively not funny, etc. It's just not worth my time at all

I think the new Jim and Pam are actually going to be Mare and the shipping guy played by Eric Rahill. The characters he does are pretty much more loser-y Andy from Parks and Rec and he ends up being endearing without being annoying.

How is this even an Office sequel? It feels like the just put Oscar into an already fully planned out show and tacked on that opening scene with Bob Vance. It's not terrible or anything but it's also not particularly great. But I feel like that's generally been true for all mainstream comedy for a while now.

Comedy just doesn't work in 2025 and this show shows why. You can't be offensive or risky anymore. This show barely has any jokes because it was all written as though HR was in the room.

The show was probably pitched to NBC in 2014 and they shoved it in a drawer for whenever they got desperate enough to bring back The Office. They dumped all 10 episodes onto a dying streaming service against Wednesday and Peacemaker season 2. Not a big vote of confidence.
