people are so fucked up on shit-o-vision that they dont understand finer nuances of the industry. a lot of movies shown on the big screen are 2k or 4k quality. in the past when they put movies on to DVD's, since the DVD can only store so much data, a lot of the deeper colors, quality as well as the sound are cut in down in size so they can store it, making it a shittier version than what was shown on the big screen. when people upgrade to blu ray, a good portion of the quality jump is because blu rays can store more data than DVD's. and the quality of the films were always good, people are just tainted by shit and the world that differs is unreal. the matrix is a good example where the color pallets had to be removed to save data on DVD's. people will say it looks like shit, but thats how it was on the big screen and how it was always suppose to look. every time they are in the matrix, its suppose to have that green tint to it, indicating this isnt the real world, when they are in the real world its suppose to look normal.
