Now wash up and get ready for supper, we’re making your favorite!” >”Haha, you kids and your
I watched Lights Out (2016) last night, and it was pretty atrocious how badly they fucked up a workable concept with shitty tropes delivered in the most hamfisted way. It could have been a good movie. At least the lead is hot.

She's a ghost attached to their mom's schizophrenia. It can only be seen in darkness and disappears when light shines on her.
Unfortunately they ruined the concept by having the protagonist find a literal box filled with the backstory and then having this retarded child's drawing scene.

I love the imaginary friend is a horrific monster trope. Read this book last year and thought it did a really good job of portraying it, I don't think it would translate well to film or television though. Especially if it turned out like... fucking Birdbox (I never read the book so I can't judge, but I'm guessing based on this book that it was way better than the movie).

This concept seemed like it was hammered to death in 2010-2020 horror. Every shitty PG-13 jumpscare movie had to shoehorn it in
>old family videos found in the basement show them always talking to somebody off screen >the last video shows the family dead and he pics up the camera and sadistically smiles into it >he looks just like the ghost that just drove the current occupants crazy >credits roll and a accapella version of popular pop song plays with scratchy vinyl sounds

man, i kinda miss movies that were like >ok, so.... >birds.... >but like... >A LOT of birds >and >they >are >AWNRY
The Birds(1963) and The Swarm(1978) are both absolute gems.

The oil companies that first bankrolled the "global warming isn't real" psyop have accepted the writing on the wall and are investing their billions in alternative energy sources. You have been left behind.
