Cailee Spaeny is said to star in Alex Garland's upcoming Elden Ring movie from A24 that Garland pitched to the studio. She is joining Kit Connor and Ben Whishaw.

Is nature healing? The film is said to start filming later this year, around October. Possibly for a March 2027 release date.

I trust Garland, he's a smart filmmaker who can evoke the kind of captivation and unease that Fromsoft requires, but I don't see how he's supposed to do this on an A24 budget w/o the results looking cheap and tacky

The Empty Ring is a good fit for today's film-making techniques. Just empty shot swith teal-orange contrast, maybe some smoke. No set designs. Actors wearing brand new outfits and coming to the set 10-15lbs overweight for their roles. Shot on digital cameras with neutral lighting in every scene. A nice CGI haze to everything. Everyone is slightly glowing because they were composited into front of a pajeet's Artstation render of some castle. I think Garland has the tool to pull this off.
