Comic book readers are mostly male. They want to see some cheesecake with SH. The first SH comic book series in the 70s gave a little of that with SH being in a ripped shirt showing off plenty of green skin, but she was more savage then, which is another thing guys like to see, super strong characters should get into huge fights with bad guys. The 80s SH series by John Byrne was less serious but had the cheesecake, the series catered to guys who were still the majority of the comic book audience for SH.
The Disney+ show was like "catering towards men is bad! SH has to be a smart lawyer and not be objectiied, and we will replace the cheescake with some twerk dance with some black rapper (??). And no super fights. The fight with the black-washed Titania, SH's main enemy in comics, was fast and dissapointing. Everyone was expecting SH to have a big fight with Abomination who was in the show, that didnt happen. The only good fight was with Daredevil, which was more comedic than a serious fight because of the power differences.
Disney tried to change the audience for something, instead of making something for the audience that was already there. THAT IS THEIR PROBLEM WITH ALL OF DISNEYS MARVEL AND STAR WARS MATERIAL. Respect the audience that was there in the first place.
