But I do think that there is a tangible misalignment on market fit recently with Marvel and Star Wars and the films and shows they release. I think those properties are inherently male oriented - for a long time they were just like, action packed testosterone heavy IPs. People like seeing Iron Man punching. They like seeing Luke kick ass with a lightsaber. You don’t need to be a white man to see yourself in Captain America’s tenacity and decency and wish you were him.

You can’t deny that Disney leadership, whether at an attempt towards hamfisted social justice awareness or trying to broaden the brand’s appeal to women, really did release some clunkers that didn’t appeal to anyone.
