I had to turn on subtitles to make the terminology-laden dialogue easier to follow, but it is indeed high-kino and I watched it twice, binge-watching in a single-day both times. I like that it doesn't recoil from showing cool skullpopping scenes of violence despite the writers' obvious disapproval for the war. I rate it above The Pacific but a little below Band of Brothers.
