He signed up after the movie was already made and helped Stuckmann release the film at a festival and then most likely got him the deal with NEON for distribution. After the festival release there were additional shoots that were supposedly to add gory scenes from the original script that didn't make it in cause 1.5 million budget didn't allow it (the budget doubled after additional shoots, so it's like 3 million now).
