With Tokyo Story, and Ozu in general, there's just something that resonates with me.

Tampopo is very funny, the fragmentary structure and "skits" are fun. The parody of Westerns and the kind of satire were ridiculous things are taken very seriously appeals to me.

Ikiru is probably my favorite Kurosawa movie, but I might change it at some point for Dreams or High and Low. I like his contemporary movies more than his Samurai movies.
