Remember when Florpus came out at the same time as the Rocco's Modern Life re-visit, and because Florpus pretty much was more of the same and Rocco's re-visit was all about trannies, that Florpus won, bigly, by default. I hope we get a little more Zim someday.

That's what I'm saying, Florpus was overall pretty much the same as before - good. It was greatly contrasted by Rocco re-visit, which was fucking awful, because instead of being more of the same, they chose to use Rocco as a soapbox, which I can't imagine is what anyone at all actually wanted.

This. In hindsight, I see no difference between IZ and something like Fanboy & Chum Chum; randumb humor, constant screaming, etc.
When I was a kid I basically psyopped myself into liking Invader Zim because I was a massive Destroy All Humans fanboy and figured "Dude I HAVE to like this, that's LITERALLY Orthopox-13 as a cartoon character!". In hindsight, it's garbage.

The girls who watched this show back when it aired turned into men.
The boys like /co/ who watched it turned into women now by 2020s

For some reason there was/is also a 10% of Zimfags who turned into gigachuds, with no inbetween. When 2016 happened and Trump won, I was posting image edits of Trump's head on Zim's body and getting yelled at by leftist Zimfags.
I think part of this comes down to how general society is depicted in IZ, like all the background characters. Everyone is stupid, hideously so, which appeals to your sense of "Everyone is a retard except me" as a teenager but they're dumb in such a nonspecific way that you can project whatever demographic you want onto them.
