I don't need covid to know that.
My parents don't "get" the general concept of infection/infestation and spreading full stop. Like, the actual idea of it. Doesn't even need to involve any diseases.
They once got bedbugs at their place. Unfortunate, yes, but this can be dealt with. BUT NOT IF YOU ARE FUCKING RETARDS. Some examples:
1) taking a large armchair (idk how you call it in English, but it has lots of "fabrics" in its construction, where these fuckers love to live, not just bare metal or wood) and deciding to transport it to the countryside summer house, which OF COURSE resulted in infestation of that too
2) not telling visiting people about the bedbugs, which resulted in infestation of their homes too (if you don't actively pay attention, you can fairly easily bring a few of them or their tiny eggs home on your clothes or items)
3) not understanding the concept that any substances made to combat bedbugs need to be reapplied (or kept in place) regularly for a reasonable amount of time, because new generations of bedbugs grow out of already laid eggs that take some time to hatch, and these eggs are typically not affected
4) even when a paid/hired exterminator comes and educates them about these, they listen to him with expressions of understanding, then fucking immediately when he leaves, they start discussing in confusion between each other what he said and together arrive at some conclusion that is the complete fucking polar opposite of what he told them
They are with 500% confidence going to be super-spreaders of absolutely anything, disease or otherwise.
They also don't believe that you contribute to making someone ill by coughing/sneezing near them in a small space. (this wasn't even about covid, this was about regular flu)
