When does the Sopranos get good? I stopped watching by the end of the third season. So far S3 was ok, but this isn't "the best show ever" quality. I have a feeling that this show is helmed as one of the greatest due to it coming out first as a great, serious, well written/directed series ... but man, it's just feels like fucking dark comedy sitcom. "What if family man... but he's secretly a mob boss?"
I get that it's trying to be existential, but as I watched this I realized there's little plot to this series so far, and that I'm more of a plot guy, in general.
I watched the first season of Mad Men and didn't care for it, that much. Just seemed like a nostalgiabait show in general.
I love Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul is ok apart from the ending, I loved Succession as well. Any other shows that are more plot focused, where it feels like every few episodes that story really progresses forward?
