The movie is insulting. It is written under the belief that the audience is unthinking retards. If you came out of it praising the writing, then congratulations, it was written for you. But it's fucking baffling to anyone with consciousness. Even just the first 30 minutes is just a slew of nonsense
>eating and littering in a high security clean room that demands helmeted suits
>a blocked vent prevents high security door from closing
>high security computer programmed to, in case a door cannot close, to immediately open all high security doors and schedule its own shutdown to remove any human ability to control the problem
>previous movies establish dinos spread through Earth due to being superiors of their own era, plus the spliced genome from ours, assured dominance. This movie shrugs it away and says that after 30 years of dominance, the dinos collectively all realized they just can't live in modern Earth and died, which the writer says is because he couldn't fathom any other way of writing a dino movie.
>the high tension moral debate to tag the whale in 2m before rescuing the boat VS go back 2h to rescue the boat and then tag the whale, neither of which introduces any real time delay or danger to argue about.
>teen girl stumbles off boat from shoving CEO to the floor, blames CEO left stunned on the floor for not saving her (rest of cast supports teen girl for this)
>when faced with AMPHIBIOUS spino threat, decide the only option is to crash their own boat into land, jump into spino waters, then slowly collect lost items at the spino shore (a scene that starts with shouting the amphibious warning)
>ScarJo walks to the cable dino fence with large, human-sized gaps for people to walk through. Cuts the cables as everyone looks on in confusion.
It's headache inducing the level of nonsense written into it. The amount of disdain the writers have for the audience is only matched by mine for the people who slurped it up. "Pros: Simple story." Get fucked.
