Did you know? That scene is completely ad-libbed.
All six actors including John Goodman, were on a charity venue when the director happened to stroll by.
The background ruler actually made to measure orphans, the director just put everything together and told them to improvise whatever they wanted so he could use the bit for his movie.
Sadly there was no space for John Goodman in the frame and that's why he's later not on the movie, but if you pay attention, is Goodman's voice when he says "in english please"
