Films and movies teach SO MUCH bad stuff to kids.
In fact, I think most cringe stuff young people do is from copying things they saw in media, or doing stuff they think they are 'supposed to' do.
I stopped doing that as much as possible and just do what I felt was right on the inside, whatever felt natural and normal to me. That pretty much stopped the cringe, but even now I still here and there 'try' to do a thing or whatever instead of just being myself and it's always, always a mistake.
Don't 'try' to do or be a certain way, just be your boring self and what you're comfortable with.
