The world still had white countries and Christianity still held Western societies together.

You people make me laugh. Half of the 80s movies feature sexually promiscuous characters, drugs, teens fucking, drinking alcohol, swearing. The movies are full of violence, cities look postapocalyptic with porn theaters on every corner and yet you claim it was still this very traditional and wholesome decade.

It's mind bottling that we are in the third decade of 80s nostalgia

You are a sad sack of zoomer shit. You described movies (ie fiction). The world itself back then was very different and much better than the world today. You are jealous because you never experienced it.

But this is a board about movies, you know that? And I'm guessing this is a thread about 80s movies or 80s popculture.
Also, I'm sure the crime rate in the 80s was actually higher than today, but let's not go there.

The 80s were so based, i feel bad for zoomers that couldnt experience it first hand

The 80s were garbage. Early 80s are basically just late 70s. It's why there were still good movies being made.
The "true" 80s (what zoomers think 80s were like) start around 85/86 and last until 1994.

At some point you have to accept that it's not nostalgia, it's just culture.

I liked the 90s more, specifically early and mid 90s.

Early 90s is basically still the 80s. The party was over by 1994, though.

There was a definite shift of style and mentality right around 1991, the 80s were about done no later than 1992.

It's not surprising when you realize that those 3 decades where progressively worse.
Why we don't have the same nostalgia for the 70s? because the 80s existed.
Good look having another decade with a personality and that isn't shit in the globohomo future half of you voted for

90s may have been better for living but the culture seemed very bland in comparison to the 80s. You can’t even wear the 90s as a costume except maybe heroin chic.
