The world has fully and 100% deserved the Rumbling based on just 2 scenes.

The first scene is when the main characters go to the UN and see that A) Eldian Lives Matter organization exists B) even the ELM hates them for no reason, despite never meeting them, and wishes for the genocide upon the Paradis.
The second scene is almost in the very end, when the marleyan commander gives a speech about how "the Rumbling is our own hate reflected back at us". For once anyone outside of Paradis has shown any sefl-reflection whatsoever, but this same based marleyan commander later decides to point his gun at Armin, who just saved them all. He doesn't end up shooting, but he still heavily considers it. Once again - Armin is the only reason he's still alive, and he knows it.

These two scenes have persuaded me that Floch is right about everything. Even if the Rumbling doesn't bring about a world peace, it will at least wipe out the retarded part of the world.

The real reason the ending shit itself and fell apart into a complete garbage fire was Isayama realized he only had two logical conclusions. Either the team stops the now evil Eren, which gives you a “happy” ending but leaves the ending very open and has the downer of having killed your protagonist, or the team fails and Eren genocides the whole outside world, which is conclusive but a super downer and Isayama probably didn't want the story to end with an ethnic cleansing after so many idiots were making it clear they thought the manga was some kind of pro-fascist screed and he didn't want to encourage them. And both endings leave the main character as an unambiguously evil villain.
So he tried to weasel out of it like a coward and make a halfway ending that didn't fully commit to either outcome, and it was predictably terrible.

No. It's about the cycle of violence and how "Us vs Them" is an inherently self destructive point-of-view. Near the end of the manga the protagonist goes insane and evil because of how his life was destroyed by the aforementioned cycle of violence, and tries to genocide the entire planet except his own ethnic group despite the story making it the main theme since the beginning that that kind of thinking is retarded and doesn't work, so the rest of the cast have to stop him. This got the rightoids in a tizzy because they saw an ethnic cleansing happening in the story and without a single brain cell spent considering the entirety of the stories themes up to that point, immediately started celebrating that the "Based Fascist Hero" was "Destroying his racial enemies". Then it is revealed near the end that the Hero was doing some Watchmen ploy to unite the world against a common enemy and planned for his friends to stop him all along. The author's intent was obvious, but it wasn't executed well. If Isayama wanted people to root against Eren he shouldn't have made the outside world so comically racist, and Armin/Hange such impotent hypoctical characters. Even then, Eren still would've been the villain for not going with the 50 year plan, just a sympathetic one.
