I'm so, so blackpilled lately bros.
This country has been doing nothing but flying off the rails since 2020 after several decades of subtle decline. I've never known this place when it was truly nice and came of age in 2016 (I was 13). I watch old movies and shows to either feel better about the situation or seek historical parallels (I especially look towards the films of the 70s for this).
Nausicaa is a very good one regarding the retarded foreign policy of my cunt and the poor nations and peoples caught in the crossfire or outright victims of it, but I feel like I could go on a kick of dark abrasive movies about the U.S or stuff relevant to the issues it has been facing atm. I've watched a lot of classic stuff, so dig deep for recs.
Eddington was the last really, really great movie about the U.S I watched and my opinion of it since watching has only improved.
