The cutaway doesn't even roast Bojack it just references it. Like many cutaways on family guy its basically like 'hey remember this pop culture thing?'.

Bojack wasn't canceled, if anything it went longer than it needed to.

The entire show is "rich shitty assholes are people too and they can have problems!" as if anyone is supposed to fucking care. They made them animal people to try to give it some sort of reason for existing at all and for occasional lame animal puns, how lazy can you get?

The Simpsons didn't need more than a single frame of animation to send Sethy Boy into a seething rage. His reponse was having Quagmire rape Marge and then murder the entire Simpson family, which Fox refused to allow to air. It made it in on the DVD and Seth on the commentary track starts ranting about how unfair it was that the Simpsons joke about his show was allowed to air and his response wasn't. The other people doing the commentary just go quiet and there's an awkward silence once he's done.

The only "wit" that applies to to him is "midwit".
