It's basically guilty of doing the exact same thing it accuses governments/media of doing.
Selectively picking out events and simplifying them to create weave an extremely vague narrative that kind of looks like its meshing together when you squint really hard.
While I like Adam Curtis and enjoy his docs he is certainly not right on everything.
There are some specific events he has mentioned in his documentaries and if you have real familiarity with them you will he presents them incorrectly or in a way that is heavily biased to his narrative.

Adam Curtis is an MI6 asset who has spent his adult life spreading confusion, an accusation he recklessly flings at so many others. He has done well protecting the globalist elite, and he undoubtedly regrets those who've used his works as a gateway to greater understanding of the world.
Hypernormalization came out in Oct. 2016. i.e., pre-Trump election.
That Curtis identified Trump, Putin, the Assad family, and Larry Fink as focal points for his narrative is impressive. You can call this "cherry picking," but hindsight shows he picked the right cherries.
