Regardless of whatever some delusional executive might think, the natural audience for Marvel is not a combination of 60 year cat moms, blue haired landwhales with noserings, and unironic fags with less testosterone than your grandma. The target audience is guys. You won't even get the periphery audience of female social viewers if the men don't want to see the movie or watch the show.
That also means that they need to hire people who understand and respect that male audience to handle projects. If they don't understand the audience, or worse, look on the audience with contempt, that'll come through in the end product. That's also why it's not enough to just tell them to shut up on social media and press tours. They need to not be in charge. They could probably make bank if they made their firings a PPV stream. That's how much they've alienated their natural audience.
