What was he actually trying to achieve? If we saw the film from his perspective it would be complete nonsense

I could overlook the many flaws, but the holomeme propaganda scene just ruined it for me.

A surprisingly straightforward and simple thriller in which a redditor captures two sexy mormon girls and lectures them. And a completely pointless extended cameo from Topher Grace

it's mid level entertainment thriller. just watch
but imo I was disappointed because he really doesn't prove anything. it could have been way cooler if he somehow proved demons were real or did something really cool to start his own evil religion or something instead of just torturing people who can't escape

Good performances in an otherwise middling horror thriller
Shows a lot of promise initially that it squanders by the end, but the first 2 thirds are a fun ride

The ‘truth nuke’ about the religion similarities wasn’t even right. He got a number of things wrong. He’s written to be on the level of someone who watched Religuous one too many times.

Had a strong start with thought-provoking antagonist but meandered into an anticlimactic third act. Didn’t go far enough to drive home the theme of the movie.
Also the choice to kill Sophia Thatcher’s character was stupid. Her friend was an abysmal final girl who suddenly became the logical character because the script demanded it. Not sure what they were thinking with that.

Ok, OP here.
Just finished it. Not bad really. The ending is cheesy af though. Yeah, it goes downhill midway. The intrigue keeps the movie afloat at the start but turns into pretty much
>that's it?
at the end.
Also
>le heckin religion bad
wtf is this, 2007? who the f cares
